1. Session Delivery Modes
Live (Synchronous) Mode
The facilitator drives the session. The presenter controls slide progression, launches activities at chosen moments, and steers discussion in real time. All participants follow the same slide simultaneously. Ideal for team meetings, all-hands, workshops, and live training where group dynamics matter.
Self-Paced (Asynchronous) Mode
Participants progress through the session at their own speed. The facilitator publishes the session, and attendees complete activities and view content whenever it suits them. Ideal for onboarding, remote training, distributed teams across time zones, and pre-meeting prep work. Self-paced mode is available on Plus, Pro, and Enterprise plans.
Hybrid In-Person + Remote
Beekast is designed for hybrid sessions where some participants are in the room and others are remote. Both groups interact through the same Beekast session on their own devices, ensuring remote participants have equal voice and visibility.
External Screen View
Dedicated display mode for projectors, TVs, and large external screens. Optimized for in-room audiences so everyone can follow along with clear visuals. Tools like the pointer, ranking, and Beekast course controls keep audiences engaged on the big screen.
2. Interactive Activity Library (17 Activity Types)
Beekast's activity library provides 17 structured interactive activity types, each designed for a specific facilitation purpose. The Free plan includes 9 activities (Word Cloud, Quiz, Survey, Speedboat, Matching, Photo Wall, Pin on Image, Find on image, and Rating); Plus, Pro, and Enterprise unlock all 17 activities.

3. Session Creation & Customization
AI Session Builder (Pollen Create)
Pollen Create is Beekast's built-in AI assistant that drafts a complete interactive session from a one-line prompt, learning objective, or imported material (PowerPoint, PDF, Google Slides, notes) in under a minute. The facilitator refines any block, reorders activities, swaps formats, and chats with Pollen for improvement suggestions. Pollen explains why each activity was chosen (pedagogical rationale), flags weak points, and learns the facilitator's context across sessions. All plans include some Pollen Create capacity: Free 1/month, Plus 3/month, Pro unlimited yearly or 20/month monthly, Enterprise unlimited (fair use). European-hosted, never trained on customer data. Slide Import & Presentation
Import existing presentations (PowerPoint, PDF) directly into a Beekast session. Combine static slides with interactive activities in a single flow. The Free plan limits sessions to 5 activities; Plus and above allow unlimited activities. Max file size: 20 Mb (Free, Plus), 100 Mb (Pro, Enterprise).
Personalization & Branding (Custom Layout)
Customize the visual appearance of sessions to match brand guidelines — logos, colors, and themes. Available from Pro plan upward. Useful for client-facing workshops, internal corporate sessions, and consistent brand experience across recurring meetings.
Templates Library (100+)
Over 100 ready-to-use interactive meeting templates, covering: problem-solving, brainstorming, vision sharing, all-hands, workshops, team sessions, retrospectives, icebreakers, onboarding, compliance training, and technical training. Available at inspirations.beekast.com.
Session Folder Organization & Duration
Organize sessions into folders (Plus+). Set a custom session duration that automatically closes the session after a defined period, controlling when participants can access the content (Plus+). Set time limits on individual activities (Plus+).
4. Session During and Follow-Up
Action / Decision Feature
Capture next steps and decisions live during discussion — directly inside the session, not in a separate document. Assign owners and due dates. Decisions are recorded in the automatic session report and remain searchable post-session.
Discussion Wall
Shared space inside the session for participants to post and discuss ideas or questions (Plus+).
Sections and Resources
Dedicated space for sharing agendas, lists, reference information, web pages, and downloadable documents (PDFs, etc.) with participants (Plus+).
Editable Meeting Notes
Information from each activity (responses, decisions, free-text input) is automatically retrieved as editable meeting notes. Eliminates the manual note-taking step that typically falls to one person and gets lost after the meeting.
Pointer, Ranking & Beekast Course Controls
Facilitator tools to guide attention during live presentations: on-screen pointer, ranking displays, and a course view for navigating between activities — keeping in-person and remote audiences in sync.
Live Moderation
Moderate discussions and activities in real time (Pro+). Combined with Collaborators and Hosts (Pro+), multiple team members can co-manage and facilitate large sessions.

- Master / Clone Session: Create a Master template for sessions that can be cloned for consistent presentations across the team. Clone session results are automatically aggregated in a single dashboard for comprehensive analysis
- Import Session: Quickly import a session made by someone else into your own account — easy way to share and reuse content or best practices
7. Participant Experience
- No installation: Participants join via a session link or code in any modern browser — desktop or mobile.
- No account required: Participants can join sessions without creating a Beekast account, lowering friction for one-off events and external audiences.
- Mobile-first: All activities are designed to work on phones and tablets, supporting BYOD environments and large in-room audiences.
- Participant identification options: Facilitator chooses how participants are identified — avatar mode (no account needed), by email, or by username. Scope varies by plan (Avatar only on Free; Avatar or email on Plus; Avatar, email, or username on Pro and Enterprise).
- Anonymous or named participation: Facilitator can choose whether responses are attributed or anonymous — important for sensitive feedback (employee surveys, retrospectives).
